Beams of nylon,
cotton, fiberglass and Kevlar are among the raw materials that enter the
manufacturing center at VBBC. These materials are twisted to varying
thicknesses and woven on industrial weaving looms into belting products that
range in use from aerating baking ingredients to stopping aircraft on runways.
Customers can order products by thickness, or ply of yarn, and length.
Specialty textile weaving enables customers to specify many different types and
sizes of the same woven product. |

For example, the Multiple Element Barricade Net (shown
below) is a technology that captures military aircraft without damage to the
aircraft. Countries throughout the world use barricade nets for the same
purpose, but with varying manufacturing specifications.

When the net elements are suspended across a runway they
form an envelope of protection for an aircraft whose forward motion needs to be
harnessed in the event of an aborted take off or landing overrun.
The net manufacturing process includes:

The fact that products are manufactured from raw
materials delivery to finished goods at VBBC gives VBBC three distinct
advantages over competitors….
100% Quality…Fast Delivery… Best Pricing.
SMI (Supplier Managed
Inventory)
In today’s world of service
efficiencies, customers don’t want the added expense of warehouse space and
other costs associated with inventory management. In 2005 VBBC introduced an
inventory program designed to take inventory expenses and headaches away from
customers. The program, Supplier Managed Inventory, places the burden of
warehousing and managing a customer’s inventory requirements, on VBBC. Drop
shipments to customers and monthly or quarterly reporting are the two key
features of the program. To date, SMI has been well received by customers.
